Tulare Craftsman
The goal for this kitchen remodel was to recapture the original Craftsman style of this 100 year old Berkeley home. The new shaker style cabinets from Eco home in Berkeley are the anchor of the design, which includes a Lacanche 44″ classic range top with white enamel finish, and brushed stainless steel trims. The countertops are new hand waxed soap stone. New 3×6 white subway tiles softly accentuate the space.
Reuse of materials is a driving force in this kitchen remodel. The original vertical grain Doug-fir sub floor was refinished to give the kitchen color, and an organic feel. Pendent lights made out of recycled bottle glass hang over a beautiful new island built out of reclaimed hardwoods. The new automatic skylight allows natural light and air to enter, contributing to an overall warm, inviting space.
