Step One School Addition & Renovation

Nestled in the Berkeley Hills, Step One School delivers ‘dynamic, thoughtful, and innovative early education that speaks to the whole child’. Conscious Construction was proud to contribute to the special place that is home to that mission.

The new addition and renovation completed a metamorphosis from a subtle collection of small buildings to a stand-out showcase learning center, featuring the addition of the new Learning Studio with west-side wall-to-wall windows glimpsing the Bay and a roofline featuring trellised sections between beams. Interior and exterior finishes, retaining walls, ramps, railings, stairs, redwood fencing rounded out the scope of work.
