Noe Valley, San Francisco
Though the original character and charm of this San Francisco Edwardian flat was largely intact, the kitchen had unfortunately undergone a very unsightly and poorly functioning remodel in the late 80s — not good for two epicurean newlyweds.
This project is a perfect example of how form meets function, with historically correct elements such as painted custom inset face frame cabinets in two tones, true linoleum floors by Marmoleum, custom bi-fold exterior doors and bookmatched Italian marble countertops. Inclusion of professional grade appliances, LED lighting, Bluetooth sound system and back-mirrored bar area firmly anchors this galley in the 21st century.
We love the kitchen. It’s awesome. It’s changed the way we live in the whole house. Our focus has shifted to the back of the house now and Ryan is cooking all the time! – Tim Barber, Owner
